It started with one Lao artist meeting another Lao artist. Then another, and another, until we realized we were all telling similar stories, reflecting on our culture and community. Although recognized by the arts world, the work had not actively sought to engage the very people who inspired it. Until now.

These are LITH volunteers, their parents, siblings and children - all the people they couldn't imagine having lived a life without. They too, crossed rivers, broke curfew, entered foreign borders, traveled without documents, falsified names, and silenced their voices for the chance at freedom, and a future - for us.
