For this song the singer is singing a love letter to Luang Prabang, and she calls out Ya Yer and Pa Yer, the grandmom and grandfather spirits that show up at Lao New Year parades in the north. Again, these are things I didn't grow up knowing so I'm learning a lot just by listening to these songs.
